We’re pleased to introduce you to Carly Baker! Originally from eastern North Carolina, Carly went to undergrad and grad school at the University of North Carolina (Go Heels!) and then moved to Raleigh where she’s lived for the last six years.

Carly has practiced family law litigation and negotiations since graduating in 2017, and she was recognized by North Carolina Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Family Law from 2020-2023. She’s super smart, and she cares about helping others – does it get any better than that?

When she’s not practicing law she loves trying new restaurants and breweries in the Triangle and is especially excited to try the newest Cary restaurant, Saap (which serves Laotian street food) very soon. She gets her intense workouts in at Orangetheory or while playing on local soccer and kickball adult leagues. 

A season ticket holder for the Carolina Hurricanes, one of Carly’s favorite things about where she lives is the proximity to the arena – just a mile walk from her front door to her seats! With less than a 5 minute trip to I-40 getting to UNC games is just as easy. 

At home, Carly loves spending time with Jax, her four-year-old Goldendoodle who is obviously the best boy in the whole world. They both love that the neighborhood is super walkable. Between 4 and 7 pm, there are always tons of people and other dogs out walking or running and enjoying the amazing neighborhood dog park. The pool is a major bonus too, although Jax doesn’t get to enjoy that one with Mom. 

Since purchasing her home Carly has enclosed one room to make it into a fourth bedroom, and is preparing to have built-in shelves put in the living room. Her favorite room in her home is her big bedroom with 5 huge windows that get tons of light. While ordering out or going out to dinner is more her style, she does enjoy making homemade banana bread in her kitchen.

Carly is certainly a force to be reckoned with, and we really loved working with her! When asked if there’s anything she wanted to share about the experience she said “Kate helped me sell my first house in Raleigh and then buy my current one a few months later. She made both processes super easy. Explained the process well from the beginning, so I knew what to expect. 1000% would work with her again in the future.” The feeling is mutual, Carly! While we hope that you and Jax continue to make the absolute best memories in your Canes-adjacent home, we’re always here to make your real estate dreams come true!
